Russian Railways suggests that Japanese companies consider cooperation in terms of creating high speed railways in Russia, Chief Executive Officer of the Russian railways operator Oleg Belozerov said on Monday.
“Experience of Japanese colleagues in the field of construction and operation of high-speed rail lines is important for us… We invite Japan’s companies to consider an opportunity of cooperating in this promising area for us,” Belozerov said.
Russian Railways currently plan to build over 4,000 km of high speed railways, Belozerov added. The main line from Moscow to Kazan will be the first one, followed by high speed railways to St. Petersburg and Adler [Black Sea Region — TASS].
