Russia and Botswana will expand military-technical cooperation, the Russian Defense Ministry’s press and information department told the media on Friday.
“On August 7 Russian Defense Minister Anatoly Antonov held a meeting with Botswana’s Defense, Justice and Security Minister Shaw Kgati, who is in Russia on a working visit for bilateral cooperation talks,” the Russian Defence Ministry said. “The discussion at the Russian Defense Ministry concerned topical issues of Russian-Botswanan cooperation in the military and military-technical spheres.”
“The two sides assessed positively the achieved level of cooperation and identified steps for its further development and the perfection of the legal and regulatory basis,” the Russian Defense Ministry said, adding that the talks were held in a friendly atmosphere and confirmed the mutual determination of enhancing bilateral contacts.
