The Minister of Economic Development of the Russian Federation Alexei Ulyukayev as a member of the Russian delegation headed by the President of Russia Vladimir Putin took part in the X Interregional Cooperation Forum between the two countries on November 11, 2013.
The topic of the anniversary Forum taking place in Yekaterinburg is «Industrial cooperation».
«Russia and Kazakhstan are preparing to sign a draft agreement on the creation of favorable conditions for international road transportation», – said the Minister of Economic Development of the Russian Federation Alexei Ulyukayev during his speech at the plenary session of the Forum noting that the issues of automobile manufacturing, transportation engineering are in constant focus of the work.
According to his words, a solid legal basis for the further development of the project «Europe – Western China» will be formed in this way. The realization of this project will give a strong multiplier effect on the economy of Russia and Kazakhstan creating opportunities and conditions for the development of not only large business, but also small and medium businesses of the two countries.
Furthermore, currently a draft agreement between the governments of Russia and Kazakhstan on features of implementing economic activities in the border areas in the framework of extraction of copper-pyrite ores is being developed.
«We have high hopes for the next meeting of the Intergovernmental Commission, where the most important issues of economic cooperation, primarily industrial cooperation should be considered», – said Alexei Ulyukayev.
