Crimea will need 1.5 to 2 months for transition to the Russian currency, the autonomy’s Prime Minister Sergei Aksyonov said on Tuesday.
“There will be no panic,” Aksyonov underlined when asked about financial issues. “The transition will be quite soft, with its period extending from 1.5 to 2 months, during which [Crimea] will build a financial system [independent from Ukraine] and fit it into the financial system of the Russian Federation,” the Kryminform news agency cited him as saying.
