Beijing hopes to sign agreements with Moscow on cooperation in the sphere of high technologies, Chinese Ambassador to Russia Li Hui said Tuesday.
Li said that the deal would help transform the scientific achievements into advanced technologies.
“The two sides will actively promote business cooperation of the two countries, covering the spheres of new and high technologies, including cosmonautics, aviation, nuclear energy and new sources of energy. We can hope that the documents on cooperation in these issues will also be signed,” Li told Rossiyskaya Gazeta newspaper.
Amid the Western sanctions imposed over the Ukrainian crisis, Moscow has been stepping up its cooperation with China, including in the technology sector, as well as in the spheres of energy, infrastructure, finance and defense.
