In October, Petrobras’ production of oil and gas registered 2,57 million barrels of oil per day (boed). This amount represented a 1,6% increase in comparison with the previous month, when it registered 2,53 million. If we add Petrobras’ overseas production, the total amount achieves 2,76 million boed.
Comparing to the numbers registered in September, it was a 2,1% increase. Petrobras alleged the rise was due to some stops in September, when the company had to repair some of its platforms.
The production of natural gas continued stable, marking 75 million m³/day.
Pre-sault layer
In October, Petrobras’ production of oil and gas in Brazil, in the pre-sault layer (ultra-deep water), continued above 1 million boed, registering 1,005 million, but the volume was 2,3% below the one registered in September.
Operations abroad
Abroad, in October, Petrobras produced 194 mil barrels of oil per day, 3,4% above the 188 mil boed registerd in September. The increase was due to its new operations in Campo and Rio Nequén, in Argentina, and expanding operations in Nigeria.
The production of natural gas abroad registered 16,1 million m³/d, 4,1% above the numbers registered in September, also due to new operations in Nequén.
