BRASILIA–Brazil posted a $506 million trade surplus in April, the government said Friday.
The figure is higher than $112 million surplus in March.
April’s surplus is the result of $19.7 billion in exports and $19.2 billion in imports, in 20 working days, the trade ministry said.
In the first four months of 2014, Brazil is running a $5.6 billion trade deficit, narrower than a $6.1 billion deficit a year earlier, the ministry said.
The accumulated result in 12 months is $3.1 billion, down from $9.95 billion in the May 2012-April 2013 period, the ministry said.
