Russia’s Energy Minister Alexander Novak has proposed to create a global international organisation for energy cooperation within the framework of the International Energy Forum (IEF).
He was speaking at the 14th IEF ministerial meeting.
The new structure should facilitate global energy security, Novak said.
“I propose to move towards forming a real energy platform that is capable of resolving global energy issues,” he said.
The existing speciality organisations do not meet these demands, Novak said.
