The most advanced 5G transmission system of the next generation will be built in eight Russian cities by 2020, while fifteen more are planned to be installed by 2025.
This is what Izvestia newspaper reports on Wednesday referring to a project of “The Digital Economy” program developed by the Communications Ministry of the Russian Federation.
It says that the new generation network will allow to reach speed over 10 Gb/s, what is 30 times more than a capacity of the current 4G networks.
However, this advanced technology has not been standardized yet, and is under testing. The developers expect that mobile operators can start implementing some of the solutions as early as next year.
