Representatives of Gazprom and China discussed prospects of interaction in the sphere of underground gas storage and electric power generation in the territory of China, the Russian gas holding said on Friday.
Chief Executive Officer of Gazprom Alexey Miller met China’s First Deputy Prime Minister Zhang Gaoli in Beijing today. “The parties discussed development of strategic bilateral partnership in the natural gas sphere. Projects of Russian gas export to China were the case in point. Furthermore, prospects of interaction in the sphere of underground gas storage and electric power generation in the territory of China were considered,” Gazprom said.
Miller also had a working meeting with Board Chairman of CNPC Wang Yilin. The parties discussed natural gas supplies to China over the “Eastern Route”. The parties noted the project is implemented on track, Gazprom said. The “Western Route” of gas deliveries to Chinas was also discussed in detail, the Russian company said.
