A new batch of big brands is set to land in India in 2014, looking to separate shoppers from their hard-earned rupees and hoping to become the latest darling of India’s massive middle class, which seems to be spending more even as the country grows less.
McDonald’s Maharaja Mac and Domino’s Peppy Paneer pizza are already staples of the middle-class diet here. The next wave of global consumer products and services is also targeting the value-for-money conscious Indian consumer offering affordable meals, clothes and travel.
