Egypt and other countries are ready to substitute Turkish products, which are banned for import to Russia from January 1, 2016, Industry and Trade Minister Denis Manturov told reporters on Thursday.
“I am positive about it and I believe that it is possible with regard to the products, which were banned for imports,” Manturov said, commenting on Egypt’s proposal to expand the volume of supplies to Russia and to replace Turkish goods.
The Minister added that Russia has also ensured domestic production of all the products banned for supplies from Turkey. “Firstly, the production of these products is rapidly developing in our country. Secondly, those countries that are friendly to us, of course, are ready to substitute (Turkish) supplies with their products,” – the minister said.
